There are a lot of Christian books out there， but this book is set apart。 It accurately aligns with the Word of God and gives such practical guidance。 The chapters are easy to understand and are short。 A good read for any woman struggling and also desiring to live a God-centered life。

Gretchen Saffles is a wonderful， gifted writer。 She just has a way with words， and as a result， this book often reads like poetry， or like the words to a hymn。 More importantly， it is refreshingly honest （containing many anecdotes about the author‘s own struggles） and full of gospel truth。 I especially appreciated the countless Scripture references her advise is based on。 Nevertheless， Gretchen never comes across as „preachy“， rather always pointing the reader towards the ultimate Author of our Gretchen Saffles is a wonderful， gifted writer。 She just has a way with words， and as a result， this book often reads like poetry， or like the words to a hymn。 More importantly， it is refreshingly honest （containing many anecdotes about the author‘s own struggles） and full of gospel truth。 I especially appreciated the countless Scripture references her advise is based on。 Nevertheless， Gretchen never comes across as „preachy“， rather always pointing the reader towards the ultimate Author of our lives and the only one who can truly satisfy。 Finally， the book is also just plain gorgeous， from the cover to the illustrations within， making it a perfect thoughtful gift for friends who might need encouragement。 My only complaint is that the author‘s stories of personal struggles， which are woven throughout the book regularly， are usually left unresolved and merely provide a starting point to a particular chapter or are used to bring across a specific point - as the reader， I sometimes longed for a longer narrative， especially when I could personally identify with a particular struggle。 That being said， that might just be a personal preference and does not take away from the fact that the book is well-written， encouraging， truth-filled and a thought- and soul-provoking read。 。。。more

An encouraging read and what I would a Christian novel rather than bible study type book。 It was lowered in my opinion by the authors “difficult experiences” which lean towards issues faced by people raised in the church rather than someone like myself who wasn’t raised Christian and so her issues were relatable to me or the women I have in my bible studies。
